The VERMONT GAGE 112120100 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel and designed for go inspection of bored, reamed, or drilled holes. It checks whether a hole meets its minimum size requirement, confirming the part will accept a mating component. The gage measures a nominal diameter of 20.1 mm with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it suitable for close-tolerance inspection work. A 10 microfinish surface finish reduces wear and maintains dimensional integrity over repeated use. Supplied with a Certificate of Accuracy carrying NIST traceability, it meets ASME B89.1 standards. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room inspectors use this gage in production and inspection environments.
This plug gage is used in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and quality control labs where hole diameter verification is required. It is appropriate for go inspection applications and can also be used to set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter. The 20.1 mm size targets metric hole tolerances common in precision component manufacturing. With an overall length of 2.0 inches, it fits standard gage handle setups and benchtop inspection routines. Its tool steel construction and 10 microfinish coating hold up under regular production-floor use.
Designed for use as a go inspection gage for 20.1 mm diameter holes and as a reference standard for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Fits standard plug gage handle configurations.
Plug gages are handled and stored by metrology or quality personnel following standard gage care practices. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion on the tool steel surface. Do not force the gage through a hole; go gages should pass under light hand pressure only. Store in a protective case away from temperature extremes to maintain dimensional accuracy.
