The VERMONT GAGE 112111680 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to verify bore and hole diameters to precise tolerances in manufacturing and quality-control environments. The gage measures 11.68 mm in diameter and holds a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, making it suitable for Go inspection applications where accurate dimensional verification is critical. Constructed from tool steel with a 10 microfinish coating, it delivers the surface quality required for repeatable, accurate measurements. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability is included, supporting documented quality assurance programs. Metrology technicians, machinist inspectors, and quality-control professionals in production shops are the primary users of this tool.
This plug gage is suited for use with Go inspection setups, as well as for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices. It is appropriate for both light manufacturing and high-precision machining environments where hole tolerance verification is part of the standard inspection process. The compact 2.0-inch overall length makes it easy to handle during bench inspection or in-line quality checks. It ships individually and is available for single-unit purchase.
Designed for use as a Go inspection gage and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring an 11.68 mm reference diameter.
Plug gages should be handled with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion and contamination of the precision surface. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and keep it away from heat sources that could affect dimensional stability. Calibration intervals should follow your facility quality management plan and applicable ASME B89.1 guidelines. Do not use force when inserting the gage into a bore; if resistance is felt, the hole does not meet the minimum acceptable diameter.
