The VERMONT GAGE 112111500 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for dimensional inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and precision-fitted openings. It measures 11.5 mm in nominal diameter with a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it suitable for Go inspection applications where tight dimensional control is required. The gage is manufactured from tool steel and features a 10 microfinish surface, which supports accurate, repeatable contact with the workpiece. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, satisfying documentation requirements common in quality-controlled manufacturing and metrology environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool room personnel are the primary users.
This plug gage is suited for Go inspection tasks in production and inspection environments handling metric-dimensioned workpieces. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices where an 11.5 mm reference standard is needed. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and calibration support in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and metrology labs. The compact overall length of 2 inches makes it easy to handle and store in standard gage blocks or tooling drawers.
Designed for Go inspection of metric bores at 11.5 mm nominal diameter and for use as a reference standard when setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and tool room personnel; no permanent installation is required. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion of the tool steel body. Never force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Store in a protective case away from temperature extremes to preserve dimensional accuracy and NIST traceability.
