The VERMONT GAGE 112110000 is a Class ZZ Plus cylindrical plug gage used to verify bore diameters in precision machining and quality-control applications. Manufactured from tool steel, this go-inspection gage checks that a 10 mm bore has been machined within acceptable limits. The gage holds a tolerance of 0.005 mm and carries a surface finish of 10 microfinish, supporting repeatable, high-accuracy measurements. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, meeting the documentation requirements common in regulated manufacturing and inspection environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrologists are the primary users of this tool.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection of 10 mm diameter bores in production and inspection settings, including machine shops, toolrooms, and manufacturing quality labs. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a known reference standard. Its 2.0-inch overall length provides adequate handling clearance in typical bore-inspection setups. Both job-shop and high-volume production environments rely on this class of gage for in-process and final inspection checks.
Designed for go inspection of 10 mm bores and for use as a reference standard with micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, as specified by the manufacturer.
Plug gages are handled and used by qualified machinists or quality-control technicians following ASME B89.1 inspection procedures. Clean and inspect the gage and the bore before use to prevent debris from affecting the reading or damaging the gage surface. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and keep it away from heat sources that could cause thermal expansion errors. Periodic recalibration against a traceable standard is recommended to maintain accuracy over the service life of the gage.
