The VERMONT GAGE 112109540 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to verify bore diameters and hole tolerances in precision machining and quality control applications. Manufactured from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating, this gage holds a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it suitable for Go inspection tasks where dimensional accuracy is critical. At 2.0 inches overall length and 9.54 mm diameter, it fits comfortably into standard gage handle setups. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting documented inspection processes in regulated manufacturing environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrologists are the primary users of this tool.
This plug gage is designed for Go inspection of 9.54 mm diameter bores and holes. It is commonly used alongside micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices to confirm that machined features fall within acceptable dimensional limits. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and final acceptance testing in production machine shops, tool rooms, and calibration labs serving aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing industries.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles and suitable for Go inspection of 9.54 mm diameter bores. Compatible with micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices as a reference and inspection standard per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists - no installation in the traditional sense is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicks or contamination that could affect accuracy. Clean the gage and the bore being inspected before use. Never force the gage into a bore; if it does not enter freely during a Go check, the feature is out of tolerance.
