The VERMONT GAGE 112107080 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision Go inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and other cylindrical features requiring tight dimensional control. Manufactured from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating, this gage checks whether a hole falls within acceptable dimensional limits. It carries a tolerance of 0.00508 mm and is built to ASME B89.1 standards. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, making it suitable for use in quality-controlled manufacturing and metrology environments. Machinists, tool room technicians, and quality control inspectors are the primary users.
This plug gage is used in production inspection, incoming inspection, and toolroom verification where hole diameter conformance must be confirmed quickly and reliably. The 7.08 mm diameter targets precision-machined components requiring Go-type attribute gaging. It is also appropriate for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. With an overall length of 2.0000 inches, the gage fits standard handle systems commonly used in light manufacturing and precision machining shops serving aerospace, automotive, and general industrial applications.
Designed for use as a Go inspection plug gage for features requiring a 7.08 mm diameter check. Also suitable for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices per manufacturer application data.
Plug gages are handled and used by qualified metrology or quality control personnel following shop gaging procedures. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage. Clean the gage and the bore being inspected before use to avoid false readings caused by chips or debris. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage the gage surface and compromise calibration integrity.
