The VERMONT GAGE 112106300 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for dimensional inspection of 6.3 mm diameter bores and holes. It delivers a tolerance of 0.005 mm, making it suitable for go-type inspection work where precise fit verification is required. The gage face carries a 10 microfinish surface, which reduces measurement variability caused by surface drag or premature wear. Overall length is 2.0 inches. Machinists, quality technicians, and metrologists use this gage to verify that a drilled, reamed, or bored feature meets its specified lower limit before the part advances in production or inspection flow.
This plug gage is used in production floor inspection, incoming quality control, and calibration lab settings. It is suited for verifying bore diameters in metal, plastic, and composite workpieces where a 6.3 mm feature is specified. Typical applications include setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, as well as go-type functional inspection of threaded or plain cylindrical features. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability, supporting ISO and AS9100 quality system documentation requirements.
Designed for go-type inspection of 6.3 mm diameter bores and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices per standard metrology practice.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists following standard metrology procedures. Clean the gage and the bore thoroughly before use to prevent debris from affecting the reading or damaging the gage face. Never force a plug gage into an undersized feature; apply only light axial pressure to avoid deflection or surface damage. Store the gage in its case away from magnetic fields, cutting fluids, and temperature extremes to maintain calibration integrity.
