The VERMONT GAGE 112105000 is a Class ZZ Plus cylindrical plug gage designed for dimensional inspection of 5 mm diameter bores and holes. Machined from tool steel with a 10 microfinish surface, it delivers reliable go-inspection performance in calibration and quality-control environments. The gage holds a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, meeting ASME B89.1 standards. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy carrying NIST traceability, making it suitable for documented inspection programs in manufacturing, metrology labs, and precision machining shops.
This plug gage is used wherever a confirmed go-dimension check is required on a 5 mm bore. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and calibration verification of set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Its compact size and overall length of 2.0 inches make it easy to handle during repetitive inspection cycles on the shop floor or in a controlled lab setting.
Designed for go inspection of 5 mm diameter bores and for use as a reference standard when setting micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices.
Plug gages are handled by metrology technicians and quality control inspectors rather than installed in a traditional sense. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent nicking the precision ground surface. Clean the gage and the bore being checked before use to avoid false readings caused by debris or oil buildup. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage both the gage surface and the workpiece.
