The VERMONT GAGE 112104100 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision go inspection of bored holes, reamed features, and other internal diameters requiring tight dimensional control. The gage measures 4.1 mm in diameter with a tolerance of 0.00508 mm, making it suitable for high-accuracy inspection tasks in production and quality-control environments. The body is machined from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface rating for consistent, repeatable contact. Overall length is 2.0 inches. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting documentation requirements in ISO and AS9100 quality systems. This gage is handled and interpreted by machinists, QC inspectors, and metrology technicians.
The 112104100 is used in go inspection routines to verify that internal features meet minimum diameter requirements before parts advance through a production process. Plug gages are handled by trained machinists and metrology technicians. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore thoroughly before use to prevent false readings caused by debris or coolant residue. Apply only light hand pressure when inserting the gage into a bore — never force a plug gage, as this can damage the gage land or the workpiece feature. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage to the tool steel.
