The VERMONT GAGE 111420150 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage with a 0.2015-inch measurement diameter, used for NoGo inspection of machined bores, holes, and similar precision features. The minus tolerance designation means the gage is manufactured below nominal, making it the correct member for verifying that a hole has not been bored or reamed oversized. At 2 inches in overall length, it fits standard pin gage handles and works with pin gage sets across common handle sizes. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST Traceability, satisfying quality-system documentation requirements on the shop floor or in an inspection department.
This gage is suited for use in machine shops, tool rooms, and quality-control labs where hole-diameter verification is required during or after machining operations. It is compatible with micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices for setting and verification workflows. Typical users include machinists, quality inspectors, and metrology technicians working to dimensional tolerances on production or prototype parts. The 10 microfinish surface coating reduces wear and helps maintain accuracy over repeated insertions.
Designed for NoGo inspection applications and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices requiring a 0.2015-inch reference diameter.
Pin gages should be inserted by hand without force; forcing a gage into an undersized hole can damage the gage surface and invalidate calibration. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before use to remove chips, coolant, and debris that could affect the reading. Store the gage in a protective case when not in use to prevent nicks and corrosion. Handle with clean dry gloves or a cloth to avoid introducing thermal expansion from body heat, which can affect readings at tight tolerances.
