The VERMONT GAGE 111356250 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used for go inspection of precision bores and holes. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.5625 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suited for applications where close dimensional verification is required. The gage is machined from tool steel and features a 10 microfinish surface on the measuring element. It is 2.0 inches in overall length and ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that carries NIST traceability. Dimensional inspection technicians, machinists, and quality control personnel use this type of gage as part of a standard go/no-go inspection routine on production and maintenance floors.
This plug gage is intended for go inspection use, verifying that a bore or hole falls within the minimum acceptable dimension. It is also compatible with use alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices when establishing or verifying reference dimensions. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks, and calibration reference tasks in machine shops, manufacturing facilities, and maintenance departments. The gage conforms to ASME B89.1 dimensional standards and is appropriate for both light production and bench-level inspection work.
Designed for go inspection applications and compatible with set micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring devices per the manufacturer application data. Suitable for standard bore inspection routines in facilities following ASME B89.1 measurement standards.
Plug gages of this type are handled and used by inspection and metrology personnel, not installed in a mechanical system. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage to the precision measuring element. Clean the gage and the bore being inspected before use to avoid false readings caused by contamination or debris. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage the lapped surface and invalidate the gage.
