The VERMONT GAGE 111333550 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for use in dimensional inspection of bored holes and internal features. It measures 0.3355 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for go-inspection applications where precise fit verification is required. The 10 microfinish surface provides consistent, repeatable contact with the part being measured. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality-system documentation requirements. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and quality control inspectors use this gage in production and inspection environments.
This plug gage is used in go-inspection procedures to verify that bored holes, drilled features, and machined bores fall within acceptable dimensional limits. It is also suited for setting and calibrating micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. The 2.0-inch overall length provides sufficient handling clearance in typical bench and fixture inspection setups. It is appropriate for both job-shop and production-floor quality control workflows.
Designed as a go-inspection plug gage for verifying 0.3355-inch nominal diameter bores, and for setting and calibrating micrometers, verniers, and comparable measuring instruments where a traceable reference standard is required.
Plug gages are used by machinists and quality control technicians and do not require installation in the traditional sense, but proper handling practice is essential. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage to the tool steel. Clean the gage and the part to be inspected before use to avoid debris that can affect gage readings or damage the finish. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage both the gage surface and the workpiece.
