The VERMONT GAGE 111308750 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to verify bore diameters with a high degree of precision. It measures 0.0875 inches in diameter and holds a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for go inspection work where tight dimensional control is required. The gage is machined from tool steel and features a 10 microfinish surface, which supports accurate contact and repeatable readings. At 2.0 inches overall length, it fits standard handle holders used in production and inspection environments. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST Traceability is included. Dimensional inspection professionals, quality technicians, and tool room personnel are the primary users.
This plug gage is applied in go inspection operations to confirm that a drilled, reamed, or bored hole meets minimum diameter requirements. It is also used to calibrate and set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. The 0.0875-inch diameter is common in precision machining, instrument manufacturing, and aerospace component inspection where bore tolerances are closely controlled. It is appropriate for both production floor use and quality lab environments where ASME B89.1 compliance is required.
Designed for use as a go plug gage member in standard plug gage handle assemblies. Also used directly to set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a precision reference at 0.0875 inches diameter.
Plug gages are handled and stored by dimensional inspection technicians and quality control personnel. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when not in use to prevent corrosion on the tool steel surface. Do not drop or impact the gage, as even minor damage to the surface finish or diameter can invalidate calibration. Store separately from other gages to avoid contact wear, and re-verify against the included NIST-traceable certificate periodically per your facility calibration schedule.
