The VERMONT GAGE 111301650 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision dimensional inspection of small-diameter bores and holes. Measuring 0.0165 inches in diameter, this gage is manufactured from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface quality. It carries a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, placing it within Class ZZ Plus accuracy standards per ASME B89.1. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, making it suitable for calibration-controlled environments. Metrologists, quality control technicians, and machinists use this type of plug gage to verify hole dimensions during production inspection and equipment calibration setups.
This plug gage is used in go-inspection applications where a hole or bore must meet a minimum diameter threshold. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter. Typical environments include machine shops, metrology labs, and quality inspection stations in manufacturing facilities. The 0.0165-inch diameter makes it appropriate for very fine-pitch work where conventional gage pins would be too large for the application.
Designed for use in go inspection of bores and holes at 0.0165 inches nominal diameter, and as a reference standard for setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices.
Plug gages should be handled by calibration or quality technicians familiar with ASME B89.1 inspection practices. Clean the gage and the part bore thoroughly before use to prevent debris from affecting measurement accuracy. Never force the gage into a hole; light, controlled insertion is required to avoid damage to the gage or the workpiece. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to preserve the microfinish surface and dimensional integrity.
