The VERMONT GAGE 111289400 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage ground to a nominal diameter of 0.8940 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. It is designed for NoGo inspection applications, where confirming that a bore or hole does not exceed maximum allowable size is critical to quality control. The steel construction provides dimensional stability under shop conditions. At 2 inches overall length, it fits standard pin gage handle sets used by machinists, quality technicians, and tool-and-die professionals in manufacturing and inspection environments. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards.
This plug pin gage is used in dimensional inspection of drilled, reamed, or bored holes in machined components. The Class ZZ Minus designation makes it appropriate for NoGo go-gage applications, as well as for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to a known reference diameter. It is suited for use in job shops, production floors, and quality inspection departments where consistent, repeatable hole-size verification is required. The NIST-traceable certificate supports calibration documentation requirements in ISO and AS9100 quality systems.
Designed for use as a NoGo plug pin gage and as a reference standard for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a 0.8940 inch diameter reference.
Pin gages are installed by qualified machinists or quality inspection personnel. Insert the gage by hand into the bore being inspected — never force or hammer a plug gage, as this can damage the gage and the workpiece. Store pin gages in their protective case and apply a light coat of rust inhibitor after handling to preserve surface finish and dimensional integrity. Follow your facility calibration schedule and retain the included NIST-traceable certificate with your calibration records.
