The VERMONT GAGE 111273700 is a Class ZZ minus plug pin gage ground to a nominal diameter of 0.7370 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. It is a single-ended pin gage used to verify that a hole or bore does not exceed its maximum material condition, functioning as a NoGo member in a go/no-go gage set. The overall length is 2 inches, and the gage is manufactured from steel. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards. Dimensional inspectors, quality technicians, and machinists use this gage in production and receiving inspection workflows.
This Class ZZ minus plug gage is suited for NoGo inspection of precision bored holes, drilled passages, and machined features at the 0.7370-inch nominal size. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a traceable reference standard. Typical applications include in-process quality checks on machined components in manufacturing environments where hole tolerance control is required. The minus designation means the gage is ground below nominal, consistent with NoGo application use.
Designed as an OEM-style NoGo plug gage for use with standard go/no-go gage handle sets and inspection fixtures accepting 0.7370-inch diameter pin gages. Also compatible as a reference standard for micrometers, verniers, and other calibrated measuring instruments requiring a traceable setting master.
Plug pin gages are handled and used by dimensional inspectors and quality technicians, not installed in the traditional trade sense. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent burring or surface damage. Clean the gage pin and the workpiece bore before use to avoid false readings from debris or oil film. Do not force the gage into an undersized hole, as this will damage both the gage and the workpiece surface.
