The VERMONT GAGE 111246000 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage designed for NoGo inspection of bores, holes, and other precision features. At 0.4600 inches in diameter and 2 inches in overall length, this steel pin gage provides a controlled minus tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for verifying that a feature does not exceed its maximum material condition. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards, meeting the documentation requirements common in quality assurance environments. Machinists, quality control technicians, and tool room professionals use this type of gage as part of go/no-go inspection routines and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices.
This pin gage is used in precision inspection applications across manufacturing, tool and die, and machine shop environments. It is well suited for incoming inspection, in-process checks, and final verification of drilled, reamed, or bored features. The 10 microfinish surface coating ensures consistent contact and accurate measurement readings. It is also used to set and verify the calibration of micrometers, vernier calipers, and similar measuring instruments.
Designed for use in NoGo inspection routines and as a setting reference for micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices where a 0.4600-inch Class ZZ Minus pin gage is required.
Pin gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists — no power tools or utility shutoffs are required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent damage to the precision-ground surface and maintain dimensional accuracy. Avoid dropping or forcing the gage into a feature, as this can cause burring or alter the ground diameter. Clean the pin and the feature being checked before use to ensure accurate readings.
