The VERMONT GAGE 111208800 is a Class ZZ Minus plug pin gage designed for NoGo inspection work in precision measurement applications. The gage measures 0.0880 inches in diameter with an overall length of 2 inches and is manufactured from steel with a 10 microfinish surface coating. The tolerance is held to 0.000200 inches, making it suitable for verifying that a feature does not exceed its maximum material condition limit. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards. This is a working-class gage intended for use by quality control technicians, machinists, and metrologists performing go/no-go dimensional verification on precision components.
This pin gage is used in inspection environments where tight dimensional control is required. It is appropriate for NoGo inspection routines and can also be used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Typical applications include receiving inspection, in-process quality checks, and calibration lab setups in both production and job-shop environments. The 0.0880-inch diameter range targets small-bore and tight-tolerance applications common in aerospace, medical device, and general precision machining work.
Designed as an OEM-style precision inspection gage for use with standard plug gage handle sets and gage holding fixtures accepting 0.0880-inch diameter pin gages in the Class ZZ tolerance range.
Pin gages should be handled with clean, lint-free gloves or gage handling tools to prevent corrosion from skin contact. Store in a protective case away from abrasive materials and temperature extremes to maintain calibration integrity. Do not force a pin gage into a bore; if resistance is felt during NoGo inspection, the feature is correctly rejecting. Periodic recertification against NIST-traceable standards is recommended per your facility quality plan.
