The VERMONT GAGE 111176000 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to verify bore and hole dimensions in precision inspection work. Machined from tool steel with a 0.76-inch measurement diameter, it carries a tolerance of 0.0002 inches and a 10 microfinish surface finish. The gage is designed for go inspection applications and comes with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST. It is handled by quality control technicians, tool room inspectors, and metrology professionals in manufacturing and machining environments.
This plug gage is suited for inspecting machined bores, fixtures, and precision holes where tight dimensional control is required. It is commonly used alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices to confirm dimensional conformance in both job shop and production floor environments. The overall length of 2 inches makes it easy to handle and position in standard inspection fixtures. Residential and light commercial machining shops as well as high-volume production facilities rely on Class ZZ Plus gages for routine go inspection tasks.
Designed for use in go inspection applications and as a reference standard with set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled by quality control inspectors and tool room technicians. Clean the gage and the bore thoroughly before use to avoid false readings from debris or oil contamination. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage that could affect accuracy. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can cause wear or damage to the precision-ground surface.
