The VERMONT GAGE 111166600 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise go inspection of bored holes, machined bores, and similar internal features. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.666 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for applications demanding tight dimensional verification. The gage body is machined from tool steel and carries a 10 microinch surface finish. Overall length is 2.0 inches. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool room inspectors use this type of gage to confirm that a workpiece feature meets minimum size requirements before it advances in the production or assembly process.
This plug gage is intended for go inspection tasks in manufacturing, machine shop, and quality control environments. It is used to verify that a hole or bore is at or above its minimum allowable size. Typical applications include setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, as well as direct workpiece inspection on the shop floor or in a metrology lab. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability is included, supporting documentation requirements in ISO-registered facilities and government contract work.
Suitable for go inspection of internal features at 0.666 inches nominal diameter. Also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices per the manufacturer application data.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists in accordance with ASME B89.1 practices. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before inspection to avoid false readings from chips or coolant residue. Never force a plug gage into a bore; firm hand pressure only is appropriate to prevent damage to the gage or the workpiece surface.
