The VERMONT GAGE 111164300 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed to perform go inspection of machined bores and holes to a nominal diameter of 0.643 inches. Built from tool steel, this gage holds a dimensional tolerance of 0.0002 inches and features a 10 microinch surface finish, giving technicians and quality control professionals a reliable, traceable reference for verifying inside diameter conformance. It ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, meeting the documentation requirements of most shop-floor and metrology lab inspection programs. Overall length is 2.0 inches. Machinists, toolroom technicians, and QC inspectors install and use this gage in production and incoming inspection settings.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection of precision bores in manufacturing and metrology environments. Typical applications include verifying bore diameters on machined components, calibrating or cross-checking setting rings, and confirming setups on micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. It is well suited for both production floor use and toolroom inspection where ASME B89.1 compliance and NIST-traceable certification are required by quality management systems or customer specifications.
Designed for go inspection use with micrometers, verniers, setting rings, and other measuring devices requiring a 0.643 inch diameter reference standard per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality control technicians and toolroom machinists; no power tools or utilities need to be shut down prior to use. Handle with clean, dry hands or lint-free gloves to prevent corrosion and dimensional error from thermal expansion. Do not force the gage into a bore — apply only light, consistent hand pressure during inspection. Store in the supplied protective case or a clean, dry toolroom environment to preserve the surface finish and dimensional integrity.
