The VERMONT GAGE 111158400 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise go-inspection of bored, drilled, and reamed holes at a nominal diameter of 0.584 inches. Manufactured from tool steel with a 10 microinch surface finish, this gage delivers a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, meeting the dimensional accuracy requirements of ASME B89.1. Every unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, making it suitable for controlled inspection environments and calibration records. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room personnel use this gage to verify hole diameters against print tolerances in production and inspection settings.
This plug gage is applied in go-inspection workflows where a single master gage must confirm that a hole is at or above the minimum acceptable size before a part advances to the next operation. Do not force the gage into an undersized hole, as this will damage the gage and invalidate its calibration. Periodic recalibration against NIST-traceable standards is recommended to maintain measurement integrity.
