The VERMONT GAGE 111154000 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to perform go-type dimensional inspection on bored, reamed, or drilled holes. Manufactured from tool steel, this plug gage measures a nominal diameter of 0.54 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches and a surface finish of 10 microinch. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy that includes NIST traceability, meeting the documentation requirements of quality-controlled manufacturing and inspection environments. Dimensional inspection technicians, tool room machinists, and quality control personnel use this gage to verify hole size conformance quickly and repeatably at the workpiece or bench.
This plug gage is suited for go-inspection applications in production and tool room settings where precise hole diameter verification is required. It is also used to calibrate and verify the accuracy of set micrometers, vernier calipers, and other measuring devices. The 0.54-inch diameter and 2.0-inch overall length make it practical for a wide range of standard bore inspection tasks across metal fabrication, machining, and precision assembly operations. Manufactured and inspected to ASME B89.1 standards, it is appropriate for both shop-floor use and laboratory-grade metrology environments.
Designed for go-type hole inspection and as a setting standard for set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices where a 0.54-inch diameter reference is required.
Plug gages are handled and used by inspection technicians and machinists; no power source or fastener installation is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent surface damage and corrosion. Clean the gage and workpiece bore before each use to ensure accurate results and avoid premature wear. Do not force the gage into an undersized hole, as this will damage the gage surface and compromise accuracy.
