The VERMONT GAGE 111153900 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for dimensional inspection of bored holes and internal features. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.539 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches and a 10 microinch surface finish, delivering the accuracy required for Go inspection workflows. A Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability is included, making this gage suitable for quality systems that require documented measurement standards. Machinists, toolmakers, and quality technicians use Class ZZ Plus gages as a reliable single-purpose attribute tool in production and inspection environments.
This plug gage is used in Go inspection applications to verify that a drilled, reamed, or bored hole meets its minimum size specification. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. With an overall length of 2.0 inches and a ground tool steel body, it fits standard gage handle accessories and works across light manufacturing, job shop, and precision machining environments. The included NIST-traceable certificate supports ISO and AS9100 quality documentation requirements.
Designed for Go inspection of internal features and for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices. Compatible with standard plug gage handles that accept 0.539 inch diameter gage members.
Plug gages are used by machinists and quality technicians and require no permanent installation. Before use, clean the gage and workpiece bore with a lint-free cloth to remove chips, oil, and debris that could affect the reading. Never force a Go gage into a hole; if resistance is excessive, the bore is undersized and should be re-inspected with measurement instruments before proceeding. Store the gage in its protective case away from other tools to prevent surface damage that could affect calibration.
