The VERMONT GAGE 111141900 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for precise bore and hole diameter inspection. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.419 inches with a tight tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for go-inspection applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. The gage surface carries a 10 microfinish, reducing the risk of wear and false readings on production parts. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, supporting quality system documentation requirements. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-and-die professionals use this type of gage in production and inspection environments.
This plug gage is intended for go inspection of through-holes and bored features at the 0.419-inch nominal size. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a known reference diameter. Typical applications include incoming inspection, in-process quality checks on machined components, and calibration lab reference work. The Class ZZ Plus classification indicates a higher accuracy tolerance band relative to standard Class ZZ, making it appropriate for closer-tolerance production work.
Designed for go inspection of machined holes at the 0.419-inch nominal diameter and for use as a reference standard with micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices, per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists — no power tools or electrical isolation is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and avoid contact with abrasive surfaces to preserve the microfinish. Clean the gage and the workpiece bore before inspection to prevent debris from causing false readings. Follow ASME B89.1 guidelines for gage handling, storage, and recalibration intervals.
