The VERMONT GAGE 111124400 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage used to verify bore and hole dimensions with a high degree of dimensional accuracy. Manufactured from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface quality, this plug gage holds a tolerance of 0.0002 inches and measures a nominal diameter of 0.244 inches. It is supplied with a Certificate of Accuracy with NIST traceability, meeting ASME B89.1 standards. Metrology technicians, machinists, and quality control inspectors use this type of gage as a go-inspection reference tool to confirm whether a drilled, bored, or reamed hole falls within acceptable dimensional limits.
This plug gage is designed for go inspection applications and is compatible with standard gage handle holders sized for the 0.244 inch diameter range. It is also used as a calibration reference for setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices in shop or laboratory environments. Suitable for both production floor inspection and quality assurance benches in light manufacturing, aerospace component inspection, and general machining operations where tight hole tolerances must be confirmed quickly and reliably.
Designed for use with standard plug gage handles sized for the 0.244 inch diameter range. Also suitable for setting micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring a certified reference standard.
Plug gages are handled and used by metrology technicians, machinists, and quality inspectors — no power source or mechanical installation is required. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use and avoid dropping or contact with abrasive surfaces to preserve the microfinish. Clean mating surfaces and the gage itself before each use to prevent measurement error from debris or oils. Calibration intervals should follow your facility quality management plan and applicable ASME or ISO standards.
