The VERMONT GAGE 111121400 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel and used to verify that a bored or drilled hole meets its minimum acceptable diameter. The gage measures 0.214 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches and a surface finish of 10 microfinish, delivering the dimensional accuracy required for production and inspection work. Overall length is 2.0 inches. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, making it suitable for calibrated inspection environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room personnel are the primary users.
This plug gage is applied in go-gauge inspection routines where a hole must accept the gage to confirm it has been machined to at least the minimum specified diameter. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a known reference diameter. Typical settings include machine shops, production floors, and metrology labs handling close-tolerance work on ferrous and non-ferrous components where hole diameter conformance is a critical quality checkpoint.
Designed for go-inspection of 0.214 inch diameter holes and for use as a reference standard when setting micrometers, verniers, and other handheld measuring devices.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists and do not require power-down procedures. Store the gage in its protective sleeve or case when not in use to prevent surface damage and corrosion. Clean the gage and the bore with a lint-free cloth before each use to avoid measurement errors caused by chips, oil, or debris. Apply only hand pressure when inserting the gage into a bore — forcing the gage risks damaging both the gage and the workpiece.
