The VERMONT GAGE 111120800 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for precise dimensional inspection of bored holes, drilled passages, and other cylindrical features. It measures a nominal diameter of 0.208 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, making it suitable for go-inspection work where tight dimensional verification is required. The gage carries a 10 microfinish surface finish, which reduces wear and ensures repeatable contact with the part being checked. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST standards. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool room personnel rely on this type of gage for fast, reliable attribute inspection on the shop floor or in the inspection lab.
This plug gage is used in go inspection applications to verify that a hole or bore meets its minimum size requirement. It is well suited for use alongside set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices as a reference or calibration standard. The 0.208-inch diameter targets precision-machined components common in aerospace, automotive, hydraulic, and general manufacturing environments. With an overall length of 2.0 inches, it is easy to handle and use in benchtop or in-process inspection settings.
Designed for use as a go plug gage in standard attribute inspection setups; also functions as a reference standard for setting micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices per ASME B89.1 requirements.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists in inspection environments. Always clean the gage and the part bore thoroughly before use to prevent damage to the gage surface or false readings. Store the gage in its protective case when not in use to prevent corrosion and surface damage to the precision-ground finish. Do not force the gage into an undersized bore, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece.
