The VERMONT GAGE 111112800 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage ground from tool steel and sized to a 0.128-inch nominal diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. It is used to verify whether a drilled, reamed, or otherwise machined bore meets dimensional acceptance criteria at the Go inspection stage. The gage surface is finished to a 10 microfinish rating, providing a precise, low-friction contact surface that resists wear during repeated checks. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, meeting the documentation requirements of quality-controlled manufacturing environments. Machinists, quality technicians, and tool-room personnel are the primary users.
This plug gage is suited for Go-type inspection of small-bore features in precision machining, toolroom, and calibration applications. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, vernier calipers, and other measuring devices that require a certified reference standard at this diameter. The 2.0-inch overall length provides adequate handling clearance in standard gage-pin holders or by hand. Typical environments include production inspection stations, quality labs, and incoming-inspection benches where ASME B89.1 conformance is required.
Designed for Go-type bore inspection and as a setting reference for micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices requiring a certified plug gage at 0.128-inch diameter per ASME B89.1.
Plug gages are handled and used by quality technicians and machinists — no power source or mechanical installation is required. Keep the gage clean and lightly oiled when stored to prevent corrosion of the tool steel. Never force the gage into a bore; Go gages should pass under their own weight or with light hand pressure only. Store in the original protective case or a padded gage tray away from abrasive contact to preserve the 10 microfinish surface.
