The VERMONT GAGE 111111500 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage machined from tool steel for precise dimensional inspection of bored holes and other internal features. Measuring 0.115 inches in diameter with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, this gage delivers the accuracy required for go inspection tasks in machining, assembly, and quality-control environments. Each unit carries a 10 microfinish surface finish and ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST. It meets ASME B89.1 standards. Machinists, QC technicians, and metrology professionals use this gage as a reliable, single-piece inspection tool for verifying tight-tolerance bores.
This plug gage is suited for shop-floor and lab use wherever go inspection of 0.115-inch diameter features is required. Typical applications include verifying bored holes on CNC-machined components, setting micrometers, calibrating verniers, and confirming the accuracy of other measuring devices. Its 2.0-inch overall length provides a comfortable grip for hand use during repeated inspection cycles. It is appropriate for both low-volume job-shop work and higher-volume production inspection lines where dimensional conformance must be documented.
Designed for go inspection of 0.115-inch diameter bored holes and internal features; also used to set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices requiring a known reference standard.
Plug gages require no installation in the traditional sense but should be handled with clean, dry hands or cotton gloves to prevent corrosion from skin oils. Store in a protective case away from abrasive surfaces when not in use. Before use, verify the gage has stabilized to the ambient temperature of the workpiece to eliminate thermal expansion error. Inspection should be performed by a qualified QC technician or machinist following the facility's documented measurement procedures.
