The VERMONT GAGE 111107300 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precision dimensional inspection of small-diameter bores and holes. Manufactured from tool steel, this gage measures a nominal diameter of 0.073 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches, meeting ASME B89.1 standards. The working surface carries a 10 microfinish, ensuring consistent and repeatable contact during inspection. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST. Metrology technicians, quality control inspectors, and tool-room personnel use this gage to verify go-side acceptance of precision bores in machined components and assemblies.
This plug gage is suited for go inspection of small-diameter holes in production and tool-room environments. It is also used to set and verify micrometers, verniers, and other dimensional measuring devices where a traceable reference standard is required. The overall length of 2 inches makes it well-suited for hand-held use in bench inspection. Typical applications include aerospace, medical device, and general precision machining operations where tight bore tolerances must be confirmed before assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style Class ZZ Plus go plug gage for use in inspecting bores and holes nominally sized at 0.073 inches, and for setting and verifying micrometers, verniers, and other precision measuring devices per ASME B89.1.
This gage is handled and used by metrology technicians and quality control personnel, not installed in a mechanical system. Inspect the gage surface for nicks or burrs before each use and store in the provided case or a protected location to prevent damage to the precision ground surface. Do not force the gage into undersized bores, as this can damage both the gage and the workpiece. Periodic recalibration against a traceable standard is recommended per your facility quality plan.
