The VERMONT GAGE 111102600 is a Class ZZ Plus plug gage designed for precise go-inspection of bored holes, machined openings, and other critical inside-diameter features. Built from tool steel and finished to a 10 microfinish surface, this gage measures a nominal diameter of 0.026 inches with a tolerance of 0.0002 inches. Each unit ships with a Certificate of Accuracy traceable to NIST, confirming dimensional compliance before it reaches the shop floor. At 2.0 inches in overall length, it is sized for straightforward insertion into close-tolerance features on production parts and inspection fixtures.
This plug gage is suited for quality control and incoming inspection work in machine shops, tool rooms, and manufacturing environments. It is used to verify whether a feature passes go criteria before assembly or further processing. It also serves as a reference standard when setting micrometers, verniers, and other variable measuring devices that require a known master dimension. Applications include checking drilled, reamed, or ground bores in metal components where tight dimensional control is required.
Designed as an OEM-style go plug gage for use in verifying inside-diameter features nominally sized at 0.026 inches. Also suitable for setting and verifying calibrated measuring instruments including set micrometers, verniers, and other measuring devices.
Plug gages are handled and used by metrology technicians, quality control inspectors, and machinists. Before use, clean the gage and the feature being inspected to remove chips, oil, and debris that could affect the reading. Do not force the gage into the feature; apply only light, consistent hand pressure to avoid wear or scoring of the gage surface. Store in a protective case away from impact and temperature extremes to maintain dimensional integrity.
