Vanco SCAT6-6INOR Cat6 Slim Patch Cable 6in Orange

Product Description

The VANCO SCAT6-6INOR is a slim-profile Cat6 patch cable measuring 6 inches in length with an orange jacket. Designed for high-density wiring environments, this short patch cable delivers structured cabling connectivity in server racks, patch panels, and network enclosures where space and cable management are critical. The slim construction reduces bulk compared to standard-diameter Cat6 cables, making it easier to route and dress in tight installations. Electricians, low-voltage technicians, and network installers use this cable type for short runs between adjacent ports or equipment in structured cabling systems.

This patch cable is suited for residential and commercial low-voltage installations where Cat6 performance is required at very short distances. Typical applications include patch panel to switch connections, top-of-rack cabling in data closets, and clean cable management in wall-mount enclosures. The orange jacket aids in visual identification and color-coded cable organization schemes commonly used in structured cabling deployments.

Key Features

• Slim jacket profile reduces cable bulk in high-density patch panel and rack installations
• 6-inch length suited for short port-to-port connections in network enclosures
• Orange jacket supports color-coded cable identification and organization
• Cat6 rated for structured cabling applications requiring Gigabit Ethernet performance
• Sold individually for flexible quantity purchasing

Compatibility

Designed as a standard Cat6 patch cable replacement or addition for use with RJ45 ports found in network switches, patch panels, routers, and wall jacks in residential and commercial structured cabling systems.

Installation Notes

Installation of Cat6 patch cables is typically performed by licensed low-voltage technicians or electricians following TIA-568 structured cabling standards. No tools are required for termination as this is a pre-terminated cable. Ensure both RJ45 ports are free of debris and properly seated before inserting the connector. Avoid sharp bends or kinking the cable, as this can degrade signal performance in Cat6 installations.
