The VANCO PA-WPMIX is a weatherproof microphone and auxiliary input preamp designed for use in public address and distributed audio systems. This unit accepts both microphone-level and auxiliary-level signals, amplifying them to line level for integration with PA equipment. Its weatherproof construction makes it suitable for installations in outdoor or semi-exposed environments where standard indoor components would be at risk. Licensed audio installers and AV integration technicians are the primary installers of this device in commercial and institutional PA system builds.
The PA-WPMIX is well suited for outdoor PA applications such as sports facilities, campus grounds, parks, and commercial properties where a local microphone or auxiliary source input is needed at a remote location. It allows a local operator to plug in a microphone or an auxiliary audio source and feed that signal back into the main PA system, eliminating the need to run a mic-level cable over long distances to a central head-end.
Designed as an OEM-style preamp input module for use with standard public address and distributed audio systems requiring a remote microphone or auxiliary input point.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed AV technician or low-voltage systems integrator. Power down the PA system head-end before wiring input connections. Follow local low-voltage wiring codes and ensure all outdoor conduit and junction box fittings are rated for the exposure level of the install location. Observe proper shielding and grounding practices on input signal cables to minimize interference in the PA signal path.
