The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCVB75227 is a Dash 227 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring used to create a reliable fluid or gas seal in mechanical assemblies. It measures 2.125 inches inside diameter, 2.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross-section. The compound carries a Shore A hardness of 75, placing it in the hard durometer range. Its fluoroelastomer construction gives it a working temperature range of -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it well suited for demanding service environments where standard nitrile or EPDM materials fall short. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics use this O-ring in applications where heat resistance and chemical compatibility are required.
This O-ring is commonly installed in hydraulic fittings, fuel system components, valve stems, pump housings, and fluid-transfer assemblies where exposure to petroleum products, high temperatures, or aggressive chemicals is expected. Its low compression set characteristics help maintain a long-term seal under sustained load. The part is sold in packages of 10, making it practical for bench stock or field kit replenishment. It is not FDA approved and is not intended for food-contact applications.
Designed as a standard Dash 227 O-ring replacement compatible with assemblies that accept a 2.125-inch ID, 2.375-inch OD, 0.125-inch cross-section seal in petroleum-product and high-temperature service environments. Compatible with petroleum-based fluids and related media as specified by the fluoroelastomer compound.
Install and service O-rings of this type only after depressurizing, de-energizing, and draining the system being serviced in accordance with applicable safety procedures. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for burrs or debris before seating the O-ring. A light application of a compatible lubricant aids installation and reduces the risk of rolling or cutting the seal during assembly. Follow all applicable plumbing, mechanical, or HVAC codes for the specific system type.
