The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCVB75218 is a Dash 218 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring used to create fluid-tight and gas-tight seals in high-temperature and chemically demanding service environments. It measures 1.25 inches inside diameter, 1.5 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick, with a round cross-section profile. The material is a brown fluoroelastomer compound rated at 75 Shore A hardness. The working temperature range spans -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, making it suitable for applications where standard nitrile or EPDM compounds fall short. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and mechanical contractors install this type of O-ring in pumps, valves, fittings, and refrigerant or hydraulic system connections.
This O-ring is designed for use with petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, fuels, and a wide spectrum of chemicals. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers low compression set and low gas permeability, which supports reliable sealing in both pressure and vacuum service conditions. Typical applications include oil and gas fittings, HVAC refrigerant circuit components, fuel system connections, and industrial valve and pump assemblies where elevated temperatures or chemical exposure would degrade standard elastomers. This SKU is packaged in a quantity of 50 O-rings per pack with a minimum order quantity of 1 pack.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance stock O-ring for any application requiring a Dash 218 cross-section with fluoroelastomer material compatibility, particularly in systems handling petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, or high-temperature process media.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or industrial maintenance mechanics. Depressurize and isolate the system before removing the old O-ring, and inspect the groove for nicks, corrosion, or debris that could compromise the seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible lubricant prior to seating to avoid tearing the elastomer during assembly. Do not roll or twist the O-ring into the groove; seat it evenly to prevent installation-induced distortion.
