The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCVB75208 is a Dash 208 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring sold in a pack of 25. It measures 0.625 inches inside diameter, 0.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross-section. The compound carries a Shore A hardness of 75, placing it in the hard durometer range. Viton fluoroelastomer provides low compression set, high-temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, and broad chemical compatibility including good resistance to petroleum products. These properties make it a reliable sealing choice for demanding fluid and gas system applications installed by plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance professionals.
This O-ring is suited for use in hydraulic systems, fuel handling lines, refrigeration equipment, chemical processing connections, and vacuum service applications. The temperature range of -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F covers most residential and light commercial HVAC and plumbing service conditions. Its low gas permeability makes it appropriate for pressurized gas sealing duties as well as vacuum service. The pack quantity of 25 units supports service stock or multi-unit jobs without the need for individual piece ordering.
Compatible with systems and assemblies that contact petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, fuels, and many chemical media. Designed as a standard Dash 208 O-ring replacement for any application specifying a 0.625 inches ID by 0.875 inches OD by 0.125 inches thick fluoroelastomer seal with a round cross-section.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified maintenance personnel. Always depressurize and drain the system, or pull vacuum to atmospheric pressure, before removing or installing O-rings. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before seating to prevent tearing during assembly. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for nicks or corrosion before installation, as surface defects will compromise the seal.
