Made from fluoroelastomer (FKT/Viton), this O-ring measures 1.475 inches inside diameter, 1.711 inches outside diameter, and 0.118 inches thick with a round cross section. It carries a hardness rating of 70 Shore A, which places it in the hard range and makes it well-suited for applications requiring low compression set and resistance to elevated temperatures up to 400 degrees F. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system mechanics install these seals during fitting assembly and preventive maintenance.
This O-ring is designed for use in systems that handle petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and a wide spectrum of chemical media. Its fluoroelastomer compound provides good resistance to fuel, oil, and solvent exposure. The low gas permeability characteristic also makes it appropriate for vacuum service applications.
