The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70904 is a Dash 904 Viton O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid and gas systems. Made from fluoroelastomer, this round-cross-section O-ring measures 0.351 inches inner diameter, 0.495 inches outer diameter, and 0.072 inches thick. The 70 Shore A hardness rating delivers a firm, reliable seal with low compression set. Fluoroelastomer construction provides wide chemical compatibility, high temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, and low gas permeability — making it suitable for demanding service environments including vacuum applications. Each package contains 25 O-rings.
This O-ring is specified as an O-Ring Boss (ORB) gasket for straight-thread tube fittings. It is commonly used in HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems where petroleum-based fluids or high operating temperatures are present. The fluoroelastomer compound handles both residential and light commercial service conditions, and its minimum working temperature of -15 degrees F covers most seasonal outdoor installations. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians typically stock Dash 904 O-rings for straight-thread port connections on valves, fittings, and manifold assemblies.
Designed as an O-Ring Boss gasket for straight-thread tube fittings. Compatible with petroleum products and systems requiring broad chemical resistance. Not FDA approved — not intended for food-contact or pharmaceutical fluid service.
Straight-thread O-ring boss fittings are installed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and hydraulic system technicians following applicable codes such as the IPC or IFGC depending on the service. Always depressurize and isolate the system before replacing O-rings, and verify the mating thread and port geometry match the Dash 904 specification before installation. Lubricate the O-ring lightly with a compatible fluid before seating to prevent cutting or rolling during assembly. Do not reuse a previously compressed O-ring in a pressure-critical application.
