The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70431 is a Dash 431 Viton O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial fluid systems. Molded from fluoroelastomer (FKM) compound at 70 Shore A hardness, this O-ring carries a minimum working temperature of -15 degrees F and a maximum working temperature of 400 degrees F. It measures 5.25 inches inside diameter, 5.75 inches outside diameter, and 0.25 inches thick. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers low compression set, good vacuum service performance, and broad chemical compatibility. Licensed plumbers, HVAC mechanics, and industrial maintenance technicians are the primary installers.
This O-ring is suited for applications involving petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, fuels, and high-temperature service environments. The 70 Shore A hardness rating makes it appropriate for moderate-pressure sealing where dimensional stability under compression is required. It is commonly used in pump housings, valve assemblies, flanged connections, and piping unions that see elevated service temperatures or prolonged contact with petroleum products. The wide chemical compatibility spectrum makes it a practical choice when fluid compatibility data is limited or mixed-fluid contact is expected.
Designed as a standard Dash 431 O-ring replacement compatible with applications requiring petroleum product resistance and high-temperature fluoroelastomer sealing. Compatible materials include petroleum products as stated by the manufacturer.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified industrial maintenance mechanic. Isolate and depressurize the system and relieve any residual fluid pressure before removing the existing seal. Inspect the O-ring groove for nicks, burrs, or corrosion before seating the new ring. Do not use petroleum-based greases for lubrication on fluoroelastomer O-rings unless confirmed compatible with the service fluid.
