The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70342 is a Dash 342 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring designed for sealing applications that demand resistance to high temperatures, petroleum-based fluids, and a broad range of chemicals. With a 3.625-inch inside diameter, a 4-inch outside diameter, and a 0.1875-inch round cross section, this O-ring seats into standard Dash 342 grooves without modification. A Shore hardness rating of 70 provides firm sealing force with low compression set, maintaining a reliable seal over extended service cycles. HVAC technicians, plumbers, and industrial maintenance professionals install this part wherever fluoroelastomer compatibility is required.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial applications involving petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, oils, and high-temperature process fluids. Its operating temperature range of -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F makes it appropriate for equipment exposed to wide thermal swings, including HVAC refrigerant circuits, fuel-handling assemblies, and vacuum service applications. The low gas permeability characteristic supports vacuum service where elastomer outgassing must be minimized. Each package contains 2 O-rings.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service O-ring for any application requiring a standard Dash 342 fluoroelastomer seal; compatible with petroleum products and equipment where Viton or fluoroelastomer material is specified.
Installation is typically performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or qualified maintenance personnel. Always de-energize, depressurize, and isolate the fluid circuit before removing the existing O-ring. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant prior to seating to prevent pinching or tearing during installation. Do not stretch the O-ring beyond what is necessary to seat it in the groove, and inspect the groove surface for nicks or corrosion before reinstalling any fitting or component.
