The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70329 is a Dash 329 Viton fluoroelastomer O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in fluid and gas systems. It measures 2 inches inside diameter, 2.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches thick with a round cross section. The fluoroelastomer compound carries a Shore A hardness of 70, making it a hard-grade seal suited for high-pressure and high-temperature service. Rated from -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F, this O-ring handles environments that degrade standard nitrile or EPDM seals. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance mechanics install this part where petroleum-based fluids or elevated temperatures are present.
This O-ring is used in hydraulic fittings, fuel system connections, pump housings, and valve stems where petroleum product exposure is a routine service condition. The fluoroelastomer material provides low gas permeability, making it a practical choice for vacuum service lines and sealed gas systems as well. It is well suited for both residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC applications that require a chemically resistant elastomeric seal. Each order ships in a package of 25 rings.
Designed as a standard Dash 329 O-ring replacement compatible with any groove or fitting machined to the Dash 329 dimensional standard: 2 inches inside diameter, 2.375 inches outside diameter, and 0.1875 inches cross-section thickness.
Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics typically install fluoroelastomer O-rings as part of pump, valve, or fitting service. Always de-pressurize and de-energize the system and allow it to cool before removing any sealed component. Inspect the mating groove for nicks, corrosion, or residue from the previous seal and clean thoroughly before installing the new ring. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants during installation with non-petroleum-rated elastomers; a compatible assembly lubricant appropriate to the service fluid should be used.
