The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70223 is a Dash 223 Viton fluoroelastomer O-ring used to create leak-tight seals in hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling systems. It measures 1.625 inches inside diameter, 1.875 inches outside diameter, and 0.125 inches thick with a round cross section. Molded to a 70 Shore A durometer, it provides firm sealing compression across a wide range of media. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers strong resistance to petroleum-based fluids, high temperatures up to 400 degrees F, and low gas permeability, making it a reliable choice for static and dynamic sealing applications. Licensed HVAC techs, plumbers, and industrial mechanics typically install this size in valves, fittings, and pump housings.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC refrigerant-side components, fuel systems, and general industrial fluid-handling equipment. Its fluoroelastomer material performs reliably with petroleum products, oils, and a broad spectrum of chemical media. The low compression set characteristic helps the seal maintain its shape over repeated thermal cycles, reducing the frequency of replacement in high-cycle service. It is also rated for vacuum service, making it applicable in evacuation and low-pressure systems common in HVAC maintenance procedures.
Designed as a standard Dash 223 O-ring replacement for valves, fittings, pump housings, and fluid-handling assemblies requiring a 1.625-inch ID fluoroelastomer seal compatible with petroleum-based media.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified mechanics depending on the application. Always depressurize and de-energize the system and purge residual fluid before removing the old seal. Inspect the groove for burrs or damage that could cut or extrude the new O-ring, and apply a compatible lubricant to the O-ring before seating it to avoid tearing during assembly. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants in applications where they are incompatible with the system media.
