The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70166 is a Dash 166 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring with a round cross section, designed for static and dynamic sealing applications in HVAC, plumbing, and industrial fluid systems. It measures 6.75 inches inside diameter, 6.938 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers high-temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, low compression set, and broad chemical compatibility including petroleum-based fluids. A hardness rating of 70 Shore A provides reliable sealing force without excessive deformation under clamp load. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and pipefitters install this style of O-ring in flanged connections, pump housings, and valve bonnets where heat and chemical exposure rule out standard Buna-N seals.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial sealing applications where petroleum product contact, elevated operating temperatures, or vacuum service conditions are present. Its fluoroelastomer formulation gives it good resistance to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids, and a wide spectrum of industrial chemicals. The low gas permeability characteristic also makes it appropriate for vacuum service lines and low-pressure gas containment. Each package contains 2 O-rings. The minimum order quantity is 1 package.
Designed as a standard Dash 166 O-ring replacement for flanged connections, pump housings, valve bodies, and fluid system components requiring fluoroelastomer sealing material. Compatible with petroleum products per supplier specification. Not FDA approved.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber, HVAC technician, or qualified pipefitter following applicable IPC or IFGC guidelines. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the existing O-ring. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for nicks or corrosion that could compromise the seal. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant before seating it to avoid cutting or twisting during assembly.
