The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70157 is a Dash 157 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring used for static and dynamic sealing in systems that handle petroleum products, fuels, oils, and a wide range of industrial chemicals. It measures 4.5 inches inside diameter, 4.688 inches outside diameter, and 0.094 inches thick, with a round cross section and a 70 Shore A durometer hardness rating. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers low compression set and high temperature resistance, making it a reliable choice for hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluid-handling assemblies operated at elevated temperatures or in chemically aggressive environments. Plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial maintenance techs are the primary installers.
This O-ring fits sealing grooves sized for a Dash 157 standard cross section and is suited for residential and commercial applications where petroleum-based fluids or high operating temperatures are present. Its low gas permeability makes it a good choice for vacuum service as well. The -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F service temperature range covers most HVAC refrigerant-side and fuel-handling service conditions. It is sold in a package of two.
Designed for use with petroleum products and compatible fluids in systems requiring a Dash 157 standard O-ring groove. Suitable for hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel-handling, and vacuum service assemblies where fluoroelastomer chemical resistance is required.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or industrial maintenance personnel. Always depressurize and de-energize the system and drain any fluid before removing or replacing seals. Lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or grease before installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants incompatible with the mating system fluid, and inspect the groove for burrs or damage before seating the new ring.
