The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70156 is a Dash 156 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring with a round cross section, engineered for static and dynamic sealing applications in demanding environments. It measures 4.25 inches inside diameter, 4.438 inches outside diameter, and 0.0937 inches thick. The fluoroelastomer compound delivers high temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, a low compression set, and broad chemical compatibility — including good resistance to petroleum products. The durometer hardness rating is 70, placing it in the hard classification. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics commonly install this size in fluid system assemblies and rotating equipment seals.
This O-ring is suited for use in petroleum-based fluid systems, hydraulic circuits, fuel handling equipment, and vacuum service applications where high temperatures or chemical exposure would degrade standard nitrile or EPDM seals. Its low gas permeability makes it a sound choice for vacuum sealing scenarios. The working temperature range of -15 degrees F minimum to 400 degrees F maximum covers the majority of commercial and industrial service conditions. Sold in a package quantity of two rings per order.
Designed as a standard Dash 156 replacement O-ring compatible with petroleum products and a wide spectrum of chemical media; consult groove dimensions and fluid compatibility charts to confirm fitment before installation.
Shut down and depressurize the system fully before removing the old seal. Inspect the groove for nicks, corrosion, or out-of-tolerance dimensions that could compromise the new seal. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid or assembly lubricant — avoid petroleum-based greases if the sealing environment requires it — then seat the ring evenly without twisting or stretching. Follow applicable ASME or system-specific pressure codes when returning the assembly to service.
