The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70045 is a Dash 045 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring designed for static and dynamic sealing in systems that handle petroleum products, high-temperature fluids, and chemically aggressive media. It measures 4 inches inside diameter by 4-1/8 inches outside diameter with a 1/16 inch cross-section thickness and a Shore A hardness rating of 70. The round cross-section profile seats reliably in standard Dash 045 grooves. Its fluoroelastomer compound delivers low compression set and low gas permeability, making it suitable for vacuum service and high-temperature sealing applications. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and maintenance mechanics regularly install this style of O-ring in pumps, valves, fittings, and fluid-handling assemblies.
This O-ring is appropriate for residential and commercial applications wherever a Dash 045 groove is specified. It is rated for continuous service from -15 degrees F to 400 degrees F and is compatible with petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, and a wide range of chemical media. Typical installation scenarios include pump shaft seals, valve bonnets, pipe union seals, and hydraulic manifold ports. The part is sold in a package quantity of 10, making it well suited for service kits, fleet maintenance programs, and shop stock replenishment. It is not FDA approved and should not be used in potable-water or food-contact applications.
Designed as a standard Dash 045 O-ring replacement for valves, pumps, fittings, and fluid-handling assemblies that specify a 4 inches ID by 4-1/8 inches OD by 1/16 inch thick fluoroelastomer O-ring. Compatible with petroleum products and a wide spectrum of chemical media.
Installation is typically performed by licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, or qualified maintenance mechanics. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing the old O-ring and seating the replacement. Lightly lubricate the O-ring with a compatible fluid prior to installation to prevent tearing during assembly. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with O-rings specified for non-petroleum service, and never roll or twist the O-ring when seating it in the groove.
