The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCV70036 is a Dash 036 Viton (fluoroelastomer) O-ring with a round cross section, used to create static or dynamic seals in fluid and gas systems across HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, and industrial applications. With an inside diameter of 2.375 inches, an outside diameter of 2.5 inches, and a thickness of 0.0625 inches, this O-ring is molded to a Shore A hardness of 70. Viton compound provides low compression set and high temperature resistance up to 400 degrees F, with a lower service limit of -15 degrees F. Sold in a package of 10.
This O-ring is suited for use in systems that handle petroleum-based fluids, hydraulic oils, fuels, and a wide range of chemical media. The fluoroelastomer material also supports vacuum service and exhibits low gas permeability, making it appropriate for sealed refrigerant circuits, valve assemblies, pump housings, and flange connections. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and industrial mechanics commonly stock this size for field repairs and scheduled maintenance.
Designed as a standard Dash 036 O-ring replacement for systems requiring a 2.375-inch ID fluoroelastomer seal compatible with petroleum products, hydraulic fluids, and similar media.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC technicians, plumbers, or qualified mechanics depending on the system type. Always relieve system pressure and shut off fluid supply before removing the old O-ring. Clean the groove thoroughly and inspect for damage or burrs before seating the new O-ring. Apply a compatible lubricant to the O-ring surface to aid installation and prevent rolling or twisting during assembly.
