The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCTFE014 is a Dash 014 PTFE O-ring used to create reliable seals in fluid and gas systems across plumbing, HVAC, chemical handling, and industrial applications. The ring measures 0.5000 inches inside diameter, 0.6250 inches outside diameter, and 0.0625 inches thick with a round cross section. It is manufactured from polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), a white thermoplastic fluoroethylene resin known for chemical inertness, low friction, zero water absorption, and broad temperature resistance. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this type of seal as part of valve, fitting, and pump assemblies where standard rubber elastomers would degrade.
This O-ring is suited for residential and commercial sealing applications where exposure to aggressive chemicals, extreme temperatures, or continuous moisture would compromise standard nitrile or EPDM seals. Its rated working temperature range of -300 degrees F to 500 degrees F makes it appropriate for both cryogenic and high-heat service environments. The medium hardness rating and flexible round cross section allow it to seat properly in standard Dash 014 grooves without special tooling. It is sold in a package quantity of 100 units, making it practical for service contractors stocking repair kits or maintaining inventory for recurring seal replacements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or service seal for any application requiring a standard Dash 014 O-ring groove with PTFE material specification.
Installation of O-rings should be performed by a licensed plumber, pipefitter, or qualified HVAC technician following applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements. Always depressurize and drain the system before removing existing seals or fittings. Inspect the groove for burrs or contamination that could compromise the seal, and avoid stretching or twisting the O-ring during installation. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with PTFE seals; use only compatible assembly aids approved for the service fluid.
