The VALUE COLLECTION ZMSCS70379 is a round cross-section silicone O-ring designed for sealing applications that demand a wide temperature range and reliable performance under dry heat conditions. With an inside diameter of 11 inches, an outside diameter of 11.375 inches, and a thickness of 0.1875 inches, this is a large-format O-ring suited to industrial and mechanical assemblies. The silicone compound is rated from -80 degrees F to 450 degrees F, making it appropriate for high-heat and cold-exposure environments. The durometer hardness rating is 70, placing it in the hard range for silicone. It is sold individually in a package quantity of one.
This O-ring is used in applications requiring a flexible, heat-resistant seal where exposure to ozone and weather elements is a concern. Silicone compounds at this hardness level are commonly specified in HVAC ductwork assemblies, industrial fluid handling, pump housings, and equipment flanges where extreme temperatures are a factor. The Dash 379 designation corresponds to a standard AS568 size classification, which aids in cross-referencing during replacement or specification work. Oil-resistance is limited with this silicone formulation, so it should not be specified in heavy petroleum fluid service without engineering review.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or maintenance sealing component for large-bore mechanical assemblies, flanged connections, and equipment housings that require an AS568 Dash 379 standard silicone O-ring.
O-ring installation should be performed by a qualified technician following a complete system depressurization and fluid shutoff. Inspect the groove and mating surfaces for nicks, burrs, or contamination before seating the O-ring. Avoid twisting or rolling the O-ring during installation, as this can cause premature failure at the sealing surface. Do not use petroleum-based lubricants with this silicone compound; use a silicone-compatible lubricant where assembly lubrication is required.
